The ones you'll see most often are the federal Small-scale Technology Certificate (STC) rebate for solar and hot water, preferential feed-in tariffs that let you sell surplus power back to your provider, and the Cheaper Home Batteries Program for battery storage.
Running since July 2025, the Cheaper Home Batteries Program gives eligible households and small businesses up to 30% off the cost of installing a small-scale solar battery: a federal rebate of around $372 per usable kilowatt-hour, or up to $3,720 on a 10kWh system. Since eligibility rules and rebate values move over time, the smart play is to let a local accredited installer confirm exactly what you qualify for today.
